Speaker Books

From age 9, Josie annoyed her school librarian by shelving her self-published books onto the library shelves for borrowing!

She then went on to receive her first rejection letter from Golden Books at age thirteen. But that didn't stop her, decades later - she has over a dozen 'real' published books on those shelves.

Josie draws on her life experiences and incorporates them into her writing, some of which include growing up in an Italian community, being involved in a bank robbery, surviving cancer, rearing a child with a disability and even winning the major prize in Wheel of Fortune.

Josie’s latest book, Set for Success, is an invaluable curriculum resource focussing on social connectedness, social inclusion and emotional wellness activities for teaching emotional, social and organisational skills. This book of easy-to-implement strategies is an invaluable teaching tool for children of all abilities and levels of emotional and social proficiency.

This practical resource is ideal for primary aged children and the activities can be easily adapted for older age groups who need extra support in developing these essential life skills.
