Sheryl Gwyther is launching a new book 'Sweet Adversity' (Harper Collins) on July 8. Bookings are essential at this link:
https://www.trybooking.com/VXHL
In 1928, Shakespearean actors, the McAllisters, are forced to leave their daughter Adversity at the Emu Swamp Children's Home.
They fully intend to return, but things don't go according to plan.
Then, to make matters worse, Scrimshaw, a villainous theatrical agent, hears the talented Addie sing. He plots to use her in his next money-making venture, but when he turns up at Emu Swamp to collect his prize, Scrimshaw finds she's run away.
Together with Macbeth, her Shakespeare-quoting cockatiel, Addie is about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. (Harper Collins)
Thank you for helping us be better writers. Apart from that we enjoyed just spending time with you! I hope this card gives you some inspiration for another book!

The Spotlight is on Nadia Sunde and Harry Potter
Speakers Ink is pleased to announce that Nadia Sunde has launched a new show - "Professor Frankie Falconette". The presentation is endorsed by the Harry Potter Franchise - Nadia is the only person in Australia contracted to conduct it. Under licensing arrangements she has been able to present this in Libraries and Festivals only however after much negotiation Speakers Ink is now able to exclusively market this show to schools.
Explore the magical world of the Harry Potter books with Professor Francesca “Frankie” Falconette, Harry Potter Enthusiast, as she brings to life the characters, creatures and adventures from J.K. Rowling’s bestselling Harry Potter Books.
"I just wanted to say that 'Professor Frankie' was marvellous at the event… She was fun and engaging, she played to her audience…she was utterly hilarious. She was also an excellent storyteller when she read an excerpt from the illustrated novel. Others who were at the event said similar positive things… I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for Frankie's events in the future :)
Supanova Expo - Professor Frankie Falconette
"Harry Potter is always a favourite, with our staff and customers alike, so we were really looking forward to the day - and it exceeded all of our expectations. Professor Frankie was incredible - the kids responded to her so well and she ran the whole thing so smoothly. This was undoubtedly the best children's event we have had at the shop for a very long time. Many of the parents stopped me on their way out to say what a fantastic time they had, and I have already received a few 'thank you' emails."
