Voices on the Move
Chris Collin will be available in South East Queensland from August 8 to 13. Chris is happy to announce that digital versions (eBook and animation) of all 4 of his books are to be published in China this year!
Staff and students thoroughly enjoyed the presentation.
Students loved his enthusiasm and animation he conveyed through the use of puppetry.

His novel This Is My Song (Scholastic) won the 2018 Prime Ministers Award for Young Adult Literature and was also a finalist in the 2017 Queensland Literary Awards. Prior to this, Richard was the winner of the Queensland Premier’s Young Adult Literary Award for Drink the Air (Strictly Literary 2010) and another novel, Joyous and Moonbeam (Scholastic 2014) was shortlisted for the West Australian Premier’s Awards. His most recent YA publication is The Happiness Quest (Scholastic 2018)
Richard was a great speaker who engaged boys and parents. He had a perfect manner with the audience and they enjoyed the evening.

The CBCA (Qld branch) runs the BILBY awards each year to encourage young people to read. This year, they are invited to "Burrow through the Notables" by voting online for their favourite from the CBCA's nominated titles. Teachers, librarians and parents interested in enticing their young ones to vote can find out more information here.
