In addition, our very own Jan Latta has prepared a video which suits the theme 'Escape to Everywhere' perfectly.  To create the video, Jan traveled to Africa for the big cats, elephants, giraffes and endangered rhinos, India for tigers, Sri Lanka for the elusive leopard, Borneo for orangutans and China for pandas.  Interested in showing this video as part of your Book Week Celebrations?  If so, Jan will be in Brisbane in June or available in and around Sydney for Book Week.  Contact Speakers Ink today for more details.

Cameron Stelzer

Cameron Stelzer's visit to our school exceeded expectations. He inspired many of the students with his talents in writing and illustrating. He interacted with the students very positively, and willingly gave time during his breaks to talk to individual students.

 - Thornlands State School, August, 2015.

Chris Collin

There were so many elements to Chris’ presentation. It was great fun for staff and students. I was particularly impressed with how he managed this large group of grade 1’s and held their attention!

 - Moreton Bay Regional Libraries - August, 2016

Michael Salmon

Thanks so much for the wonderful performance last Friday. So many positive comments (and that was just the teachers).

I don't think the kids have enjoyed a more entertaining
session. One staff member said it was the best show we've ever had."

- Glenvale State School, Toowoomba, September, 2011
Krista Bell

Krista Bell is an award-winning Melbourne based author and an established ABC Radio children’s book reviewer. Krista's 27 popular titles for children include her picture book Peeking Ducks with illustrations by Sally Rippen.

Darren Groth

The Grade 9 students greatly enjoyed Darren’s book talk; they were engaged and really enjoyed that he was funny. They were spellbound. Also, his leaving a lot of time for questions about writing and inspiration was excellent.

- Delta Secondary School

The Spotlight is on

 Phillip Gwynne

An excellent day. Such a great experience for students to get writing, and to receive instant feedback on their work. Phillip’s insights and presentation were very helpful – it is so good for students to hear directly from a professional author! I also came away inspired to get writing!

South Coast Baptist - May
, 2017

Phillip has recently returned to Australia and now lives in Melbourne after many years spent in Indonesia.  Phillip is best known for his 1998 debut novel, Deadly, Unna? a rights-of-passage story which uses Australian rules football as a backdrop to explore race relations in a small town in South Australia.  The novel won several awards, selling over 200,000 copies, and was adapted into a 2002 film titled Australian Rules.  Phillip has since written numerous other books, including children's and young adult books as well as screenplays for television and movies.  Phillip has recently launched his new picture book, Brothers from a Different Mother.
