Book Now to Beat the Price Rise for 2018

The dates for CBCA Book Week 2018 have been announced - Friday 17 August to Friday 24 August, with the theme of Find Your Treasure.

The Australian Society of Authors (ASA), is currently reviewing the standard fees for speakers, so our prices will rise in 2018 - by how much at this stage we are not sure.

What's the Good News? To beat the price rise, any bookings secured and locked in during Term 4 of 2017 will be costed at the current rates.  Contact Speakers Ink today for all your 2018 booking requirements.

The Spotlight is on

Deborah Abela, who will be touring Brisbane from New South Wales the weeks commencing  Monday, 14th May AND Monday, 27th August, 2018.

Deborah trained as a teacher and completed a BA (Comm) to combine her passions of teaching and writing. She became writer / producer of a national children’s TV show at Network TEN before leaving to write over 20 novels, including the Max Remy and Jasper Zammitt series, Grimsdon and New City, about kids living in a climate-changed world. Teresa: A New Australian was inspired by her dad who migrated from Europe to Australia after the devastation of WW2 and The Stupendously Spectacular Spelling Bee is about a shy, brilliant speller and whose family encourage her to overcome her fears and enter the world’s greatest bee. Her latest book is Wolfie, An Unlikely Hero, a picture book about a wolf who desperately wants to be a hero.

Deborah engaged the students from the moment she was introduced. She is a dynamic presenter and the students and teachers who attended her presentations have given me excellent feedback. Deborah's books are now being greatly sought after to borrow as the students were inspired by her visit.
