UPLIT champions curiosity and creativity in Queensland. We are a platform to connect and grow Queensland’s reading and writing communities through transformative cultural experiences that elevate the vitality of the literary arts and contribute to dynamic public conversation.   

UPLIT’s flagship program is the annual Brisbane Writers Festival, presented each September, welcoming thousands of readers, writers and thought-leaders to ignite their imaginations, ask big questions, showcase literature, and celebrate stories in all forms. 

UPLIT also presents Word Play each September, our education program designed to present literary-inspired experiences for students and teachers with relevant curriculum connections.
