Aleesah Darlison is launching new books, author talks, and writing workshops
Curriculum Focused * High Engagement * Loads of Fun
Following on from the phenomenal success of her League of Llamas Series, Aleesah Darlison is releasing a brand new picture books series in 2021 PLUS a new junior fiction novel:
- The Endangered Animal Tales Series is perfect for animal lovers in Prep – Year 2. The series features some of Australia’s cutest and most unique wildlife.
- The new junior fiction novel is Space Kids: Sabotage. The book is set in the future on Misty Space Station and is sure to enthral young readers with a fascination for space exploration, fast-paced action stories, and mysteries
Aleesah’s new talks and workshops are based on her books and are targeted to encourage reading and support improved literacy outcomes and the Curriculum, specifically Science, English, and Literature. Her sessions are always popular and book out quickly.

Candice Lemon-Scott's 'Eco Rangers: Pelican in Peril' is an Honor Award Winner for the Cadmus Children’s Fiction category in the Green Earth Book Award. I've also got 'Eco Rangers: Microbat Mayhem' to add as the shortlisted title for the Wilderness Society Environmental Award for Children's Literature.
Dub Leffler has been included on the Australian Illustrators Wall at this year's Bologna Book Fair - details at www.bolognachildrensbookfair.com
David Lovegrove has expanded his skill set and can now offer presentations to students on the Vikings and the Viking era. He has also been studying Icelandic for over 40 years and can offer a language component to his presentations if required.
Exhibition - Dry to Dry

The Exhibition of the Eve Pownall shortlisted Nature Story book 'Dry to Dry’ at The Lovett Gallery, Newcastle, NSW, hosted by Newcastle Libraries, will run from June 4th until August 7th and be open to the public with Library hours.

The exhibition showcases Liz Anelli’s artwork from the picture book.
It also includes Information panels about the author and illustrator, the seasons of Kakadu, maps and the animation process.
An animation project in collaboration with University of Newcastle and local High Schools will create stop frame sequences using Liz’s page spreads and 3D puppet-makers Curious Legends are making an enormous interactive dragonfly and snapping crocodile
School Workshops and presentations will run throughout the exhibition.

The Last Word - The Easiest School Book Club Ever!
Teachers! Would you love to start a book club for your students but just don’t have the time (or energy) to pull together all the resources?
Rebecca Sparrow joined forces with experienced English teacher and Riverbend Books Book Club Host - Jane Sullivan to create the Rebel Readers Alliance - a virtual book club for kids aged 8-12.
