Welcome Sarah Pye to Speakers Ink!
Sarah’s workshops for school-aged children introduce them to rainforest animals and protecting our environment through storytelling and puppetry. Sarah uses the hands-on experiments from her books to cement learning, prompt connections with nature, and instill hope in her audience.
Sarah’s presentations for older audiences focus on the writing craft, or delve into her own adventures while undertaking what she calls ‘the best doctorate in the world’!

Our students loved Sarah’s books and really enjoyed her workshops. They loved learning more about writing and publishing, and were also fascinated by the environmental issues and the endangered animals Sarah has based her books on. Her workshops align closely to many English, Science, HASS and Maths curriculum priorities across all Year levels. Highly recommended!

Congratulations Brian Falkner
Brian Falkner's epic conclusion to the spy thriller trilogy, Katipo Joe has just been released. Joe has penetrated the very heart of the Nazi spiderweb, spying on Adolf Hitler and his cronies as the Second World War gains momentum and Germany begins its crucial invasion of the Soviet Union. But British Intelligence wants Hitler dead. Joe must use all his skills and put not only his own life at risk, but the lives of the people he most cares about.
The highly acclaimed series has been picked up for publication in America by Scholastic - thrilling news, congrats Brian!

Brian has also announced more "Write Like an Author" workshops to be held at the Payne Road State School in Brisbane. All the details here
Brian is a very engaging author who had students totally focused on his presentation.
He shared the process he goes through for writing his stories and left students with ideas about writing their own. A very successful visit.
