What people are saying
-Loved the presentation. Great speaker. Loved the explanations of where ideas for characters come from. Jacqueline kept the students entertained and wanting to hear more. -I enjoyed it a lot because her jokes and the back stories of the books were amazing! I think she is the best author ever! I just can't describe how amazing her books are. My favourite books are the Alice-Miranda series. -We all thoroughly enjoyed our author visit by Jacqueline. The students and staff laughed at the stories of [...]
We had Richard Newsome deliver a keynote address at our Literature Breakfast and he also spoke to Years 5,6 and 7. He was an excellent speaker and I would highly recommend him to other schools. I sent Richard a brief and he was able to construct his content around these ideas. He was very professional and most importantly very engaging with both adults and children.
We just had Anne E Stewart visit for our grade 3s and 4s at Eltham North Primary School. She was absolutely fantastic! The children and staff alike were mesmerised by her story telling and richness of stories. Please pass on our greatest thanks to her for such an inspiring and wonderful gift.
Krista interacted keenly with all year levels from Prep to Year 6 and the content of her talks was engaging. Would recommend her to others and definitely book her again to present at our College.
Having Kim come to our centre for her art workshops has been an amazing experience. Even children who usually have no interest in art or being inside found a lot of excitement and passion as Kim arrived each day. Her expertise really shines through as she explains often complex art concepts in a way our 4 and 5-year-olds understood. Each lesson builds on from the previous one, helping children not only understand art a little better but also shapes, colours, and other academic aspects. We foun [...]
Stephany Steggall won the Hazel Rowley Literary Fellowship in 2013. She accepted the award at Adelaide Writers’ Week in front of a large audience. By 2015 Stephany had written “Interestingly Enough: The Life of Tom Keneally”, acknowledged as a well-researched and highly acclaimed biography. The biography was launched in Sydney by Geraldine Doogue, with Tom Keneally in attendance. Stephany spoke compellingly about the process of writing her book. In 2016 three Fellowship winners talked at the Whe [...]
Phillip engaged the students with his humour and personal perspectives on writing. The olfactory imagery activity was fruitful and he provided incisive and constructive feedback on student pieces., heightening their awareness of the writing process. He spoke purposefully about creating characters with ambition and motivation.
Andrea was a great speaker. She engaged her audiences, across multiple ages in each session. She was approachable, articulate and her content was appropriate for each group. On the lead up to the event, Andrea made contact and went out of her way to tailor her speeches to suit our themes and ethos. She was considerate and thoughtful. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a speaker.
Tim visited us at ATC last week for our annual Literary Festival and the effort & enthusiasm he brought to his presentations was very well-received by students and teachers, alike. The boys really enjoyed learning from Tim and I think we may have converted our 1 'surfie' kid to read his first 'proper' book, Occy's bio 'Occy : The Rise and Fall and Rise of Mark Occilupo'. I would highly recommend Tim to speak at any junior, middle or senior school. He also spoke at our parent night and his presen [...]
Sarah's whole school performance and workshop sessions were so incredibly engaging and captivating. She was able to retain the attention of all students from Kindergarten to Year 6! Sarah's presentation was fun, exciting and very humorous. She has left our students incredibly inspired, thank you Sarah!
Thanks - easy to work with, and great suggestions of speakers that might suit us.
