What people are saying
It was lovely to have Alison here sharing her stories and magic. The students really had a fabulous time.
We all think that you were brilliant. We love your books. You were the perfect person for us. We look forward to becoming avid Aleesah fans and following your new books.
It was engaging and informative. It was interactive for the grade 1s. It really sparked their interest in story writing. It also fitted well with our health unit on emotions.
Lian held her audience in the palm of her hand for the entire time. She spun her stories and the girls were caught up in the imagination and creativity of Lian's storytelling and taken to an exciting and adventurous place of their own designing. The teachers were all very impressed with the visit, and many stayed to listen as they too were spellbound by Lian's stories. The Year 3 girls who had not read any of Lian's books (and are now queuing up to start "The Rogues") enjoyed the session and lea [...]
As part of our Imaginative Writing unit, we interviewed Australian children’s author, Jess Galatola about her relevant and timely children’s book, ‘Some Families Change’. This book was a wonderful read and a totally engaging juncture for our students as it brought the curriculum to life. Jess provided so many purposeful and practical strategies to our young and aspiring writers.
Al the teachers commented on her professionalism and her ability to interact with all age groups. She was fabulous.
We were delighted with Isobelle’s visit and would certainly like to have Isobelle visit again. We would certainly recommend Speaker’s Ink and Isobelle to other organisations and / or schools.
Thank you so much for coming in today and sharing your wonderful book with our class. The children were truly engaged throughout the session. They listened with excitement, asked thoughtful questions, and were inspired by hearing directly from an author. It was such a special experience for them, and we are so grateful for the time and effort you put into making it memorable. Thanks again!
Thanks for your assistance in helping us find a speaker for our Book Week in 2025.
Peter was fantastic. The students were engaged and really enjoyed his presentation.
Phil was engaging for the children and taught them about the importance of reading, and the writing process. They liked him and listened to him and have been more engaged in their reading and writing since. Phil is an excellent speaker, as well as an interesting and agreeable personality, that I would highly recommend to other primary schools.
Julie was popular and engaging across all our primary and high school classes. At our high school she managed an auditorium session with all our middle school students and encouraged contribution and discussion. The students enjoyed the session and it had a follow on effect in the library, with all her books going on loan and being in demand.
