Preps loved listening to a story from the ‘actual, real, live’ author! Hearing the process of creating a book was also extremely interesting and the setting, beneath the jacaranda, so suitable! They are spotting 'Jacaranda Magic' wherever we go! Dannika was charming, dynamic, patient and resourceful. The children thoroughly enjoyed her reading of her story 'Jacaranda Magic' and were enthralled with her treasure box. The way she was able to keep the children so engaged was amazing. Epic. AJ Betts was incredible, she was able to build a relationship with our Year 7s and engage them in her talk about being an author and creative writing. Her talk was fresh, funny, and, charming. It even included some rap. Amanda herself fit into the library team immediately and we feel we have made a friend.
It’s hard to find performers who are as cleanly responsive and fearless as Kristian. Agile in body, mind and spirit, Kristian is the type of performer we need to see more.
Sophie was brilliant, informative, tailored to meet what the kids were doing, exploring in class. The writers workshop was also great, kids got a lot out of it and are enthusiastic to write and have their work shared with others. Really enjoyable.
Sarah was fabulous! Her presentation was jam packed full of useful information and I have had lots of positive feedback from everyone who attended.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for Cameron's visit - our school is still buzzing including the big kids AND teachers! The workshops were certainly imaginative, creative, fun and exciting! All teachers were thrilled and have eagerly been following up Cameron’s visit. WOW Thanks again
We had a lovely Literature Event yesterday. Randa was fantastic, her sessions were thought-provoking, everything went smoothly and we have had great feedback from the staff and students. We are now thinking about next year and would love to have Randa back. We had a great time, thanks so much.
I am always impressed with the prompt service whenever I ask for recommendations for authors to come to our school. I have used this agency for many years and am very happy with the professionalism displayed.
We recently held a Literature & Arts Festival at St. Catherine's Catholic College, The Whitsundays for our Secondary students. All the authors that attended were entertaining, engaging and inspiring. I have had so much positive feedback from students, staff and library colleagues. The students have all been raving about how excellent the festival was, and they were disappointed at the thought of returning to classes for the rest of the week. I have had reluctant readers coming into the library t [...]
We were delighted to host author Kate Foster as presenter of our November 2022 Webinar. Her title was "Why choosing diverse books isn’t enough: it’s all about the representation" and in the presentation, Kate gave so much more information about what makes someone neurodivergent, and how to accommodate their needs in school libraries. Kate was such a warm, relaxed and engaging speaker. Our attendees connected strongly with her compassionate and empathetic style. Her professionalism came through s [...]
