Helen’s visit to our school was phenomenal! Her presentation was very informative, giving students an insight into the process and inspiration of her writing. Her presentation captured all student’s attention, engaging them through discussions, interactive examples, and props! All students thoroughly enjoyed Helen’s visit to our school!

It was a delight to have Sophie Beer at our school. She was such an enthusiastic and engaging presenter, adapting her style to engage small and large groups of Year 6-8 students. Her presentation was a great mix of backstory on her author and illustrator journey and practical tips for the students to approach their own writing and illustrating. Dub was absolutely lovely - he and the kids had a wonderful time, and he was happy to take on board our slightly different approach for the day - a very positive experience!

We really enjoyed having Tristan visit us and work with the students during our Writers Camp. Tristan really engaged the students and give them plenty of inspiration as well as giving them practical advice that they could apply to their writing. He exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend Tristan to other schools. He also took the time to find out what our needs were for our group of students and tailored his presentations to suit our requirements.

Karen was amazing with the children. She got them to open up and think about things in a different way.

We had absolutely no issues dealing with Speakers Ink - very easy to deal with and arrangements were well organised. Yes, we would certainly deal with Speakers Ink again... ...Yes, expectations were very much met!

Vacen presented a series of engaging workshops for our students in years 4, 5 and 6 at our 2020 School Book Week. It was wonderful how she catered her program around “writing focus” requests from teachers. The children thoroughly enjoyed not only the writing activity but also the chance to learn about “World Building” in Fantasy writing and character development. Vacen was prepared, professional and it was a pleasure hosting her here at Our Lady of Mt Carmel.

Just a quick email to let you know how wonderful Mark Svendsen was. He was terrific and just "struck the right note" with everyone. All the feedback has been very positive, both about the keynote speech, and the two workshops. I'd really like to get him to come to our school for some student writing workshops next year.

Last Friday, Year 1 students were treated to a very entertaining and informative session with Lisa Hollier and Tracey Roper. Their presentation was a visual feast of images and creativity. Every minute of the one hour session was effectively used and the students remained engaged and interested the whole time.
