What people are saying
We were excited to welcome Dr. Rob Bell to our all-boys college, where he captivated our Year 7 students with his dynamic science experiments and innovative approach to creative writing. Dr. Bell’s ability to seamlessly blend hands-on scientific exploration with imaginative storytelling not only engaged our students but also ignited their curiosity and creativity. His sessions were a perfect blend of education and inspiration. We are incredibly grateful for his visit and look forward to future c [...]
Thanks for all the work you do behind the scenes to enable these great things to happen.
Karen was amazing with the children. She got them to open up and think about things in a different way.
Jan Latta was an excellent speaker and we got a lot of positive feedback.
Both Veresdale and Woodhill schools enjoyed Martin's Visits. The children loved seeing the process that Martin engages in when illustrating and contributing their ideas. He captured their imagination and encouraged them to experiment with ideas and drawing etc. Thank you for recommending Martin for our visit this year.
Zewlan Moor is a wonderful champion of the local KidLit community. It has become a tradition for the Who's who of kidlit writers in Brisbane to have a launch at Where the Wild Things Are and have Zewlan Moor as our launch host. Zewlan is a confident speaker and asks insightful and thought provoking questions of the authors she is helping launch. She takes the time to read your book and understand your story and also understand you as a writer and a person. Zewlan helped me launch my debut pictu [...]
We had a wonderful time with you - thanks. I bragged you up on the Library Listserve - every school should have you visit!
Just a quick email to let you know how wonderful Mark Svendsen was. He was terrific and just "struck the right note" with everyone. All the feedback has been very positive, both about the keynote speech, and the two workshops. I'd really like to get him to come to our school for some student writing workshops next year.
Helen’s visit to our school was phenomenal! Her presentation was very informative, giving students an insight into the process and inspiration of her writing. Her presentation captured all student’s attention, engaging them through discussions, interactive examples, and props! All students thoroughly enjoyed Helen’s visit to our school!
Charlie’s visit exceeded our expectations – he was great and the kids loved him! He was also a pleasure to work with, was always accommodating and always communicated with us promptly on email. He was outstanding!
Tristan was on time, well-prepared and very engaging. He pitched his talk to Year 7s perfectly and it was a good mix of talk, video and music. Students commented very favourably afterwards and hopefully picked up some useful tips for creative writing.
Dub was absolutely lovely - he and the kids had a wonderful time, and he was happy to take on board our slightly different approach for the day - a very positive experience!
Nikki was friendly and engaging from the moment she entered my classroom. The students were captivated as she read her story and then answered their questions.
