Giuseppe was excellent for our Year 6 children. He came early and spoke with the teacher about the exact expectations and what the students wanted to get out of the session. He catered for this in his presentation and gave some great examples of how students could get started with drawing images. His presentation was excellent and well thought out and planned. Jess was engaging and fun to listen too. She shared lots of stories that were relatable to the children and they enjoyed hearing about the background information related to the series of books she has written. Her ideas for writing stories were easy and fun and we have even tried to have a go at writing like this with our students. A fun and relatable author whose books offer great range for our Year 3 students.

Thanks for organizing the author talk yesterday. Our girls had a lovely time and left feeling quite inspired about writing. I really appreciated the opportunity to attend.

Peter's workshop was, without a doubt, the highlight of our library year! We already have plans to invite Peter back for a follow-up workshop in the near future. I also wanted to thank you for making Peter available to schools through Speakers Ink.

Melinda reinforced many of the ideas we have been sharing with the teachers, about being a visible reader, along with her own experiences of reading and how to get young people reading and building a good reading culture, including author visits and finding the right book. Best of all she read us a story, which fitted well with an overarching theme of Wellness.
