Angela, I wanted to commend you on your presentation on Saturday at Writer's Block in Nerang. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I thought it would just be factual and informative, I wasn't expecting your amazing humour. If you heard someone cackling at the back all the time, that was me. I have come away equipped with a large to-do-list and enthusiasm to match. Thank you so much for taking the time to spend the day with us.
Andrew is so passionate, enthusiastic and dynamic and his presentations are very engaging, inspiring and educational. He maintained interest for a full hour with our young children 3-5 years brilliantly. The children love his books and respond to his enthusiasm. There is so much to learn, explore and discover in them.
Gus provided wonderful examples of how his story ideas come from his life experiences and made the concept of becoming an author an idea the students could really understand.
Lisa and Tracey exceeded our expectations!!! From our Prep class to our Year 8 class they were engaging, humorous, informative and warm. All classes were highly engaged and all of our teachers said that they were the best speakers we have ever had at our school! They were brilliant. We would definitely book Tracey and Lisa again and highly recommend them to any other school.
Thank you for speaking to the Year 3 cohort, 38 boys and you held them in the palm of your hand. The questions were interesting and that's always a sign the boys enjoyed the talk.
Sarah was insightful and inclusive with participants and created a safe atmosphere for people to be revealing about their memoirs. I would have loved this workshop to go for two days or at least one! It gave me ideas and I loved the chance to do some writing. It was interesting to hear the memoir ideas from other people and to connect with them, even if very briefly.
Zillmere Library hosted Kim Toft during book week and she was fantastic! Kim met expectations and exceeded them. She created such an amazing space with her artwork within the library and the workshop was captivating and interesting. Both schools who attended were very impressed with the workshop presented and the kids were really involved throughout the event.
Fantastic connection to the students, very easy going and such a humble man.
Engaged from start to finish - Not a lot of people can hold a crowd for 8 hours but Rachal, you did this with your usual style and professionalism, Thank you for stretching me and getting me out of my comfort zone.
Sarah came and read her fantastic book “Meowster Chef” with our whole school during our Literacy Week, November 2022. Sarah not only engaged each group, but organised a cooking activity for after the reading, which the students loved. Our school is a Special Developmental school, which Sarah hadn’t attended before, so she generously gave up her time to walk around the school and chat with me about how to best engage with our students – amazing!! We all loved having Sarah attend our school and [...]
Sarah's whole school performance and workshop sessions were so incredibly engaging and captivating. She was able to retain the attention of all students from Kindergarten to Year 6! Sarah's presentation was fun, exciting and very humorous. She has left our students incredibly inspired, thank you Sarah!
