I have had many comments from yr 6 teachers about how turned on the students are to writing. Your visit was very timely, worked in well with what the teachers were doing and certainly has left a lasting impression.

Jan Latta had our audience under her spell. She transported us to the bush of Africa, and in her soft voice told us one story after another, accompanied by wonderful photos and videos. Our students were very inspired by her talk and I would happily host Jan again on a next occasion.

Many of our teachers and students found Dub's presentation to be interesting and engaging. We hope to book him again in the very near future to do illustration workshops with some of our students.

Mark was receptive to the creative writing focus areas as outlined by the students and had prepared materials to support them in this regard. Mark's presentation was engaging and he was encouraging of the students' efforts. He was also generous in the sharing of, not only his knowledge but his resources. We hope Mark is keen to work with our Creative Writing class again.

It was fantastic having Helen in person to talk with our students at Bright P-12 College. She was so engaging, and her presentation was intriguing with historical photographs and artifacts from the area. My students were keen to know more and to read ‘The Rebels of Buffalo’.

Vacen presented a series of engaging workshops for our students in years 4, 5 and 6 at our 2020 School Book Week. It was wonderful how she catered her program around “writing focus” requests from teachers. The children thoroughly enjoyed not only the writing activity but also the chance to learn about “World Building” in Fantasy writing and character development. Vacen was prepared, professional and it was a pleasure hosting her here at Our Lady of Mt Carmel.

Karen was wonderful - generous with her time and full of honest wisdom about writing and the creative life. She gave hope to the emerging creators in our community, encouraging them to continue even when things feel tough.

Charlie was so engaging with the students. They had huge smiles on their faces the whole time and thoroughly enjoyed his presentation. He is relatable, entertaining and talented. He can help students bring ideas to life through poetic devices in an amusing and highly engaging session.

Speakers Ink were wonderful, very responsive and quick to respond to our requests and ensure our needs were met in a very timely manner. No request was too much. I have had the same wonderful experience in the past and would definitely recommend them in the strongest possible terms.

I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of authors over the years, but January has been exceptional from the outset.

Nikki Rogers captivated our students during Library Day! They responded enthusiastically to her engaging presentation and thoroughly enjoyed exploring her books. She provided wonderful insights into her writing and illustration techniques, inspiring creativity at every turn. Lisa and Tracey exceeded our expectations!!! From our Prep class to our Year 8 class they were engaging, humorous, informative and warm. All classes were highly engaged and all of our teachers said that they were the best speakers we have ever had at our school! They were brilliant. We would definitely book Tracey and Lisa again and highly recommend them to any other school.
