What people are saying
Brian was outstanding. Our students thoroughly enjoyed his knowledge, guidance and sense of humour. Our budding writers did a fabulous job and thoroughly enjoyed the day! Thank you Brian
Last Monday we had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic writing workshop with author and writing teacher extraordinaire, Josh Donellan. Our students had the opportunity to delve into the craft of writing compelling characters and vivid settings. With engaging exercises and expert guidance, our students learned firsthand how to bring stories to life on the page. A huge thank you to Josh Donellan for sharing his passion and expertise with us.
Paula’s presentation was greatly appreciated by participants, who found it very inspiring and useful.
Megan captivated her audience as she shared valuable insights into her writing process. Megan inspired our students to share their thoughts, ideas and feelings through writing. She made her books come alive as she used excerpts to highlight her ideas. Our students (and teachers) loved her session.
Nicky Johnson presented to our Prep to Year 3 students as part of our Book Week celebrations. Her warmth, creativity, and passion for storytelling truly inspired our young readers, writers, and illustrators. Students were captivated by Nicky’s engaging sessions, which she skilfully tailored to suit each year level, making the experience meaningful and memorable for all.
Our student's at St Joseph's have been reading Corinne's books in for many years and were so excited for her visit. She did not disappoint, and I would highly recommend her to other organisations. She engaged the students by speaking about her writing and was open to questions from our students. Thank you so much Corinne, we cannot wait for you to visit again.
Our students were thoroughly engaged throughout Joel's energetic performance. He tailored his talk to meet our current speaking and listening student needs and fostered a love of reading. Thank you!
The students and teachers were very impressed with Peter and should funds allow, we would like to have him back again next year.
As always, Sandie was extremely helpful in finding available authors to meet our needs and then providing follow-up support as needed. Many thanks and I look forward to our continued use of your service next year.
Students really enjoyed meeting Anil and making connections to her illustrations while learning more about her creative process. Her presentation was engaging and well paced, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of how an illustrator brings a story to life. The interactive elements encouraged thoughtful participation, and her work with small groups gave students valuable opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and feel supported in their own creative thinking.
Year 5 students and teachers gained so much from Michelle’s presentation. The teachers took many notes to enhance their poetry unit for next year.
Your presentation was fascinating and I thought the way you linked the story with the research process and family connection was perfect
