Simon Higgins was just brilliant. The staff and students were very impressed with his outlook and what he had to say. His workshop was well presented and had the students working. Thank you so much for recommending Simon. You were right; he was perfect for our needs in workshopping creative writing techniques for our Yr 8 students.
Wow, Katrina! These sessions were just amazing. The feedback I’ve received from staff and students alike is just so positive. We’re so grateful to have had this opportunity, and it will stay with us all for a long time to come.
Dave Burton was fantastic! We received very positive feedback about Dave’s talk, and the question and answer session. He was very inspirational.
Sophie was brilliant, informative, tailored to meet what the kids were doing, exploring in class. The writers workshop was also great, kids got a lot out of it and are enthusiastic to write and have their work shared with others. Really enjoyable.
The presentation that Frances gave was spot on and exactly what we were after. Her work with the girls was incredibly valuable in giving them confidence and providing a set of basic guidelines that can be followed. Students and staff really appreciated the way she was able to weave stories of her own experience in amongst the detail of what it means to be a successful journalist Thanks for helping us out with our guest speakers. They really do provide a wonderful and enriching experience for th [...]
I asked for recommendations of presenters in my area and received a detailed and informative response that reflected how well Speakers Ink know their presenters.
Richard shared his personal experiences and stories which helped the students connect with him. Showing the children about drafting his book was an eye opening look into being an author. The presentation was very interesting, engaging and funny and the students thoroughly enjoyed it. He was very generous with his time in interacting with the groups and individual students (a lot more than was expected).Overall Richard's presentation was very engaging, age appropriate and informative.
This was Emma’s third visit to our Kindergarten to share her wonderful story telling skills with our group. Emma has a true appreciation of the magic of childhood and a very respectful and gentle manner with the children and staff. Her passion for art, music and literature is very apparent to all, and on each occasion the children were very engaged with her. The performance is perfect for this age group with just the right amount of mystery and fun. The additional music and movement experiences [...]
Deb was a very engaging speaker and performer. The children really enjoyed the visit and have been madly borrowing her books. Deb pitched her talk to each year level and managed to have everyone laughing and learning at their level - including the teachers.
Jenny Wang helped us kick off a week long celebration of learning as part of Catholic Week activities at Jubilee Primary. With Jenny's expertise, all students successfully created their own manga characters, inspiring some students to submit art work for the school's mini Art Show. Jenny's own passion for using animation to spread positive community messages could be a great starter for students building their own community message.
