Thanks for organizing the author talk yesterday. Our girls had a lovely time and left feeling quite inspired about writing. I really appreciated the opportunity to attend.

Sarah was insightful and inclusive with participants and created a safe atmosphere for people to be revealing about their memoirs. I would have loved this workshop to go for two days or at least one! It gave me ideas and I loved the chance to do some writing. It was interesting to hear the memoir ideas from other people and to connect with them, even if very briefly.

Samantha Wheeler visited our school as part of our Book Week celebrations to provide workshops for our students in Years 4 to 6. The teachers and students were enthralled by Samantha's stories and can't wait to read her books for themselves. Samantha engaged the students by describing her motivation for writing. We were impressed with how Samantha differentiated her workshops for the different year levels.

Our expectations were met and exceeded. Everything ran smoothly and Donna was very flexible about fitting into our program. I would book Donna Dyson again and I would also recommend her to other schools / organisations.

Andrew is so passionate, enthusiastic and dynamic and his presentations are very engaging, inspiring and educational. He maintained interest for a full hour with our young children 3-5 years brilliantly. The children love his books and respond to his enthusiasm. There is so much to learn, explore and discover in them.

Dimity did a great job off the cusp with filling in at the last minute. Next time we would probably have her writing workshop talk about mythical creatures and dragons to tie in with Marc's drawing of the dragons from Deltora Quest. This way the writing group that went first would have a link to use when they went to the drawing workshop.

Sarah came and read her fantastic book “Meowster Chef” with our whole school during our Literacy Week, November 2022. Sarah not only engaged each group, but organised a cooking activity for after the reading, which the students loved. Our school is a Special Developmental school, which Sarah hadn’t attended before, so she generously gave up her time to walk around the school and chat with me about how to best engage with our students – amazing!! Benjamin Gilmour is a very engaging speaker with a wealth of personal experience and wonderful anecdotes. Given the breadth of his creativity in writing as well as film, no student leaves his talks without being touched in some way.
