What people are saying
Our first experience of an author visit and dealing with Speakers Ink was positive. Speakers Ink provided a timely and efficient service ...
Peter Meares provided the after-dinner address to the fathers [at a Father & Son Literacy Weekend] by reflecting upon his literary and broadcasting experiences throughout his varied professional life. The range of experiences addressed, humour and humility enabled Peter to connect very well with his audience. The fathers were intensely interested in his stories, observations and encounters with sportspeople around the World and the developments that resulted in the authoring of his books. The con [...]
Tash presented a very engaging session to our students which they loved. She discussed thought provoking questions and First Nations themes in an age appropriate manner.
Lachlann delivered a highly engaging book week activity. He talked to the students about the characters in his book called 'Big Trouble'. He made the book come to life, with drawings and storytelling moments. He is a quality entertainer, which meant that he had all students focused and hanging off each word he said. I like that he had an activity for the students to complete. We have never looked at a chair the same! Thank you! From Grade One
Andy had a well organised, engaging and interactive presentation. He shared some of his published books, talking about the process of getting a book to a published state. Andy also brought in his version of a 'writer's notebook', which tied in very well with our students' own launch of personal writer's notebooks. Andy was engaging and entertaining for our yr 3-6 students, with his sketching and involving them in doing their own 'two animal' sketch.
There is nothing more rewarding for a Principal than to hear children's laughter and singing echoing throughout their school and having Mr Yipadee in entertaining and educating the children is a guarantee of this. My children (and staff!) never fail to enjoy one of Mr Yipadee's shows and I cannot recommend him highly enough to provide age-appropriate, good hearted, feel good energetic fun - something every child deserves to experience regularly at school
The feedback from the students was amazing. They all seemed to really enjoy listening to you talk and the Crazy Relief Teacher series has been flying off our shelves this term. We will definitely be asking you to come back and visit again.
Absolutely amazing. Most inspiring and moving speaker I have ever seen.
Gabrielle has visited our school for the past three years and run her Chinese watercolour painting session with our year 7s. This complements the text that they study at this year level, Chinese Cinderella. Gabrielle is a true professional with a wonderful instructional manner. She incorporates her Chinese heritage into the workshops beautifully and has the students spellbound. The lovely thing about her sessions is that being able to produce a credible Chinese watercolour at the end of the ses [...]
The children were excited to be part of the interactive puppet show, whilst our secondary students made real life connections to the story. A fantastic, age appropriate experience
I think Kat Apel may be our Book Week treasure. The boys love you! Teachers, students and parents have loved hearing you talk about your books and your family, and all the teachers have been impressed with your style and your activities.
