Zachary Ashford tailored his presentation to a diverse and large cohort of students. His sessions were interactive, engaging and entertaining. Zach sought feedback constantly and communicated effectively throughout our visit. Would definately recommend!

Our year 9 students have been studying Jackie French's novel "Nanberry". Jackie is an excellent communicator and responded well to questions by our students. We don't normally have a whole cohort for an author visit but Jackie was able to handle the boys very well.

Speakers Ink staff were polite and patient with the wait time needed for school approval in between booking and confirmation, they obviously understand the demands of a school environment.

As part of our Literacy Day celebrations, we had a very special visit from author and illustrator duo, Haydn and Damien Crespan. The Crespan brothers shared their writing process, the detail behind each illustration and how they’ve overcome challenges such as a colourblind illustrator! We were truly captivated by their debut children’s book, ‘The Adventures of Triz’. Not to mention, their dinosaur display and the REAL fossils they brought for us to explore.

Brett was an outstanding speaker. He nailed the balance between important information coupled with solid research, industry experience, stories, and humour. He was relatable and engaging. We would like to book him every year. Next year for the students as well as the parents.

Louise was a wonderful hit with the kids. Open and engaging, her sessions were a great success. She was very giving of herself, her adventures as a writer and publisher, and the stories she has shaped with such creative imagination. Children from Kindergarten through to Year 6 were delighted to bring her stories to life through sound effects, dress ups, and re-enactments. A passionate advocate for children’s literacy, Louise was the perfect ambassador for our Book Week celebrations.

Darren was very friendly to staff and students. He was more than willing to give extra time to speak to the students in a one on one environment. He was very engaging and got lots of audience participation with a game. Would definitely use Dave again as a speaker at our college.

We recently held a Literature & Arts Festival at St. Catherine's Catholic College, The Whitsundays for our Secondary students. All the authors that attended were entertaining, engaging and inspiring. I have had so much positive feedback from students, staff and library colleagues. The students have all been raving about how excellent the festival was, and they were disappointed at the thought of returning to classes for the rest of the week. Candice entertained our P-3's with her stories. The students loved the puppets and getting to be part of the show. Candice's interacted wonderfully with our students and catered for all of the levels in the different classes.

A vibrant and engaging presenter, Charlotte Barkla delivered an interesting and informative presentation to our Year 7-12 students. Her Creative Writing Workshops encouraged our students to see the potential in their writing and provided them with a wide range of writing skills.
