Testimonials
Andy engaged really well with all the groups he led - each student was made to feel they were capable of building on their drawing skills - 'just keep practising' was Andy's cue words; along with 'don't use a rubber'!
St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School - August, 2023Andy had a well organised, engaging and interactive presentation. He shared some of his published books, talking about the process of getting a book to a published state. Andy also brought in his version of a 'writer's notebook', which tied in very well with our students' own launch of personal writer's notebooks. Andy was engaging and entertaining for our yr 3-6 students, with his sketching and involving them in doing their own 'two animal' sketch.
Our Lady of the Angels' School - August, 2023I thought Andy was great! He engaged the students and they really related to what he was saying. I've set a homework task this week for the students to create a picture using dot art or hatching etc which was inspired by his talk. Grades 5-6
He was fantastic! The students were very engaged and really enjoyed his presentation. He worked very well with them and the illustrating activities being the focus was so much fun. I had my class come back and wanted to draw for the rest of the day!'

What people are saying
"There were lots of positive comments from participants, praising Dimity’s lively and clear presentation, her creative writing ideas and helpful suggestions. I’d highly recommend Dimity as a presenter, especially for Primary Schools in the area of creative writing." "I found the material that was presented has already been very useful. I have implemented the RAFT activity as a warm up in the Learning Enhancement Centre… and several of my students could not wait to commence the task. Many of thes [...]
Recently, our school had the privilege of hosting Melanie La'Brooy. Her engaging presence and insightful words left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. The session was both engaging and thought-provoking. By the end, she had empowered us all to approach our passions with courage, and to view challenges as opportunities for growth. It was truly an inspiring experience.
Giuseppe was an enthusiastic and engaging speaker who showed such a genuine interest in sharing his love of literature with our Year One students. His session was perfect for the Year One audience and fit perfectly with the work they doing in the classroom on narratives and visual literacy. The inclusion of a 'growth mindset' message that mistakes are ok and an important part of creating was a wonderful addition to the session.
Speakers Ink guided the school through requirements for the presentation both in terms of what the speaker needed but also what the school needed to fit the context of the visit. The result was a well organised and engaging hour.
Katherine Battersby was our speaker and she, as always, was fabulous. She exceeded our expectations. You can't improve the experience as she's already perfect. We would definitely book her again if she was in Australia for next book week.
Thank you for recommending Julie for this year’s Literature Festival Day. It was a huge success and we have had wonderful feedback from students and teachers. ‘Thank you Julie for such a great day. The girls and teachers thoroughly enjoyed your sessions, it was wonderful to hear them speak so positively about the tips and drafting skills you shared.’
Attendees loved the topic and the way Madonna spoke to the topic. So much wonderful feedback for this session!
Morsi showed a contagious commitment and was an excellent communicator. His target audiences are without doubt teenagers and adults. Having Morsi at our school was very positive and eye opening! TheDanish People’s Party got more than half the votes in the last election in this region, so there are many prejudices against people with foreign backgrounds. Morsi’s presentations became very real when we the following Wednesday was visited by a class from Ellekærskolen in Aarhus where more than 80% o [...]
Thanks so much for the wonderful performance last Friday. So many positive comments (and that was just the teachers). I don't think the kids have enjoyed a more entertaining session. One staff member said it was the best show we've ever had.
We thoroughly enjoyed having Martin today. He was so obliging and easy to get on with, had a great rapport with our Year 5 and 6 boys, and conducted a highly interesting and entertaining session with them. Many of our boys enjoy drawing, so Martin speaking about illustration was perfect and kept them totally involved. He has a very good manner with this age group, and included the boys, asking them for their opinions and giving them interesting facts and tips about illustration. Students and [...]

Ian spoke last year at a business function that I was involved with called Rise of The Entrepreneur. He was asked to simply speak about his own rise to Entrepreneurship thru his life lessons and skills and even more importantly, his passion to better himself. Ian delivered a 40min talk that was simply awesome. He was funny at times and knew that a sense of humour would relax the audience, but he also delivered great points and life lessons that helped all in sundry. Ian’s passion to become the [...]
